CSL Season 2 is here - with an Ass-Kickingly Amazing All Star Show Match

The Heat is on & The Hype is here - CSL season 2 is upon us on the 5th of September

In late February of 2009, a faint noise of gaming cheer could be heard from a few secluded campuses around the US. People had gathered to watch the most quick-fingered of their fellow students battle live against opponents of other schools, and this noise quickly grew into a roaring crescendo as Starcraft now became the college sport of choice for more and more people. The Collegiate Starleague, or CSL, was born - eventually involving 25 US colleges and other international universities as well before the end of season 1, and now it’s time again. However, before You start to bring the ownage to Your rivalling school, there’s an All Star Match to observe and enjoy - Proleague-style!

On September 5th, 2009, 8PM EST hell will truly be unleashed, as the eight greatest stars from season 1 come together as two teams to fight each other. Those of you who are already familiar with the CSL will recognise most of the names, but for newcomers - let me assure You this: these players may not be on a comparable skill level with Koreans, but they are among the best outside of that Holy Land and they are by far good enough to bring us pure and fun Starcraft to watch.

joLin has calmly predicted that he will simply ‘own Tifa‘, his opponent who’s also from UTexas. StRyKeR, a most feared Zerg, has made the following statement about his foe, the perhaps greatest star and Terran player of season1, ToT)yosh( - ‘I Love beating Terran players and listening to Marines die to Lurker spines. I hope Yosh goes bionic against me‘. Right on.

joLin (Z) v Tifa (P) - Ride of the Valkyries
clazziquai (T) v Freaky (Z) - Athena II
gt.roo (P) v Nesh (T) - Shades of Twilight
ToT)yosh( (T) v StRyKeR (Z) God’s Garden
ACE: Outsider

This showdown, who can rightly be described as no less than epic, will be turned into wholesome entertainment for the entire family thanks to dual commentating by none other than CholeraSC - starcaster from SC2GG and Voice of eSports - and Day[9], the voice and foremost Starcraft-scholar of Teamliquid. This All Star Match will be putting the Capital A back into -wesome, guaranteed - so do make sure to stay tuned about more CSL information and join the Live Stream on Saturday the 5th of September, 8PM EST. Epic’s the word!

Refresh Your memory of last season by watching this most enjoyable game from the finals:
